While a de facto state of emergency continues in the capital city of Turkey due to the upcoming NATO summit, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) marched to Kızılay Square, centre of Ankara, with the slogan “Down with imperialism, down with NATO!”
The Workers' party of Ireland visited Bodenstown on 5 July, to commemorate the memory of Theobald Wolfe Tone. Tone is an Irish revolutionary, who is regarded as as the father of Irish Republicanism.
A delegation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) toured the areas affected by the major fire in the municipalities of Oreokastro and Pavlos Melas, expressing its solidarity with the residents and conveying a message of militant demand for the protection of life, people's property and the natural environment.
The Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), meeting on 27–28 June 2026, reviewed the national and international political situation, assessed recent workers' struggles, and outlined the Party's priorities for the coming period. It concluded that Portugal is experiencing an intensification of the conflict between the interests of big capital and the interests of workers and other anti-monopoly social groups, arguing that the country's political and economic direction continues to deepen exploitation, inequality and external dependence.

The summit, hosted by the TKP (Communist Party of Turkey) in Istanbul, will bring together communist and workers' parties from NATO member countries, as well as representatives from the World Peace Council and the World Federation of Democratic Youth.
