While a de facto state of emergency continues in the capital city of Turkey due to the upcoming NATO summit, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) marched to Kızılay Square, centre of Ankara, with the slogan “Down with imperialism, down with NATO!”
The Communist Party of Sweden (Sveriges Kommunistiska Parti, SKP) stated that the political negotiations following Sweden’s parliamentary election will not bring about fundamental change, saying that the main parliamentary parties share a commitment to capitalist interests, military rearmament and Sweden’s role in international competition.
