Communist Party of Cuba condemns new imperialist move
At the 24th IMCWP Working Group meeting held in İstanbul, a statement on the US Imperialist-Israeli War of Aggression on Iran and Israeli Criminal War on Lebanon was adopted by the participating parties.
The Working Group of the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workersâ Parties met in Istanbul on 19 April 2026, hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey.
A large-scale solidarity event titled âCuba Will Win!â was held at the NĂązım Hikmet Cultural Center. Organized by the Communist Party of Turkey, the gathering brought together a broad audience from İstanbul.

The attempt of the Polish authorities to outlaw the Communist Party of Poland (KPP) has failed once again. Constitutional Tribunal had declared the party unconstitutional, with a high-profile ruling. The Party has been reinstated in the official register of political parties and continues to operate legally.
The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) announced the sudden and unexpected passing of its Chairman, Tibor Zenker, who died at his home in Wolkersdorf on 16 April 2026 at the age of 50.
Workers Party Youth criticised recent initiatives such as the EU Asylum and Migration Pact, arguing that further restrictions will deepen reliance on smuggling networks while failing to address underlying causes. It rejected narratives that treat migrants as either a burden or a tool of labour markets, instead emphasising that migrants are part of the international working class.
The Party issued a statement on the anniversary of the defence of socialism at Playa GirĂłn. The statement said, âHeir to the revolutionary traditions of our people, the Communist Party of Cuba arrives at this April 16th with new motivations in defence of unity, the beautiful work of the Revolution and a historical legacy that already adds up to more than one hundred years of struggle.
That day â when the entire population came out to defend socialism on the sands of Playa GirĂłn â is considered the founding date of our Party.â
Sudanese Communist Party issued a statement entitled âHate Speech⊠Dalgo and the Shared National Destinyâ. The Party said, âIn the midst of the raging war in Sudan, the danger is no longer confined to the battlefronts; it has extended deep into the social fabric, where hate speech and racism are escalating in a way that threatens to tear apart what remains of the bonds of shared living. What occurred in Dalgo should not be read as an isolated incident.â
