On the first anniversary of the death (13/7/2025) of Ammar Baghdash, Secretary General of the Syrian Communist Party, his Party held an event abroad to honour him.
Syrian Communist Party Honours Bakdash
According to 902.gr, Khaled Bakdash, a member of the Communist Party and his son, spoke at the event, emphasizing, among other things:
"To me he was a father, but before and after that he was a comrade, who taught me, with actions before words, that communism is not just a political affiliation, but a moral and humanitarian commitment to workers, peasants and people of toil, to all who suffer injustice and exploitation."
And he added about Ammar Bakdash's devotion to Marxism-Leninism: "Even in the most difficult circumstances, he remained unwavering in his belief that the working masses are the force that can change the course of History, that socialism is not a deferred dream but an objective necessity, imposed by the contradictions and crises of capitalism."
