CPI(M) meets with workers of South Dinajpur

Massive gathering at Communist Party of India (Marxist) workers' meeting

Communist Party of India (Marxist) members and supporters gathered in an overflowing meeting.

CPI(M) South Dinajpur District Secretary Nandalal Hazra conducted the meeting at the Balurghat Theatre on Sunday afternoon. CPI(M) State Secretary Kallol Majumdar and State Committee member Sayandeep Mitra were present at the meeting.

The leaders said, “We are going through a crisis. On one hand, the peace of the people is being disturbed by the conspiracy of religious division. On the other hand, there is a conspiracy to confuse the main problems of people's survival. What will happen to 26,000 qualified teachers, there is no direction for them, no action is being taken against the Dalal Raj in the mandi, no plan has been taken to increase the price of crops, no steps have been taken to stop corruption in the medical admission exam, there is no direction for providing employment to the unemployed, there is no price for farmers' crops, there is no work for workers. People are confused by the anti-people policies of the state and central governments. Even though the system has collapsed in the doctor's admission exam and other important exams, no investigation process has been taken.”

“Even though the court has given the right order to evict the hawkers without rehabilitating them, the state government is not complying. When people participate in the CPI(M) program in their struggle for survival, the Red Flag workers are being attacked. At present, our only job is to establish their rights along with the poor people including farmers, workers, agricultural labourers.”
