CPI(M) rally in West Bengal targets BJP policies
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) organised a rally in Domkal on Thursday, May 21, to press for a series of demands and protest the politics of hatred across the state.
Speakers, including Anisur Rahman (Member of West Bengal Legislative Assembly), Mustafizur Rahman (Member of the Local Legislative Assembly), and Narayan Das (CPI(M) candidate for Kakdwip, West Bengal), harshly criticised the divisive policies of the ruling party BJP and warned against the danger of conflicts between different communities. Rafikul Islam Mondal, Member of the Legislative Assembly, rejected any division on the basis of religion and called for communal harmony.
Migrant workers also found an opportunity to express their demand for decent work and education in their own province, or at least to obtain social security cards from their own state administration while they work in another state.
