The interim president of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), Nádia Campeão, is participating in a program focused on strengthening the party organization and preparing for the 2026 elections.
Communist Party of Brazil holds meeting for pre-candidacies
During the two days, Campeão will participate in meetings about the state dispute and the party's electoral project, meetings with political leaders, the affiliation ceremony of new personalities and a meeting of the state committee.
The highlight of the program will be the launch of pre-candidacies and new memberships. The event will bring together leaders, activists, representatives of allied parties, and new members, reinforcing the party's strategy to expand its political presence in the state and strengthen its electoral project for 2026.
According to Lane Costa, president of the PCdoB's municipal board in Cuiabá, the presence of the national leader represents a critical moment for dialogue between the national leadership and local activists. “She recently assumed the national presidency of the party, and this visit is part of the leadership's plan to get to know the states and local leadership better.”
Lane Costa also highlights that the party is experiencing a period of growth in activism and expansion of alliances. “It's a project spearheaded by women activists. We've been receiving membership applications from people who want to contribute to this construction, and some of them will officially join the party during the event with the presence of our national president.”
