Communist Party of Brazil announces National Electoral Convention

October will witness an election in Brazil that will determine the president, vice-president, senators, governors, and over 1,500 state-level and federal members of the congress. Communist Party of Brazil has shared their start of the preparatory process.

The Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) has published the notice of convocation for its National Electoral Convention, scheduled for July 30 in a virtual format. The meeting will bring together the members of the Party's Central Committee.

Among the main points on the agenda are the discussion and deliberation on the proposed candidacies for President and Vice-President of the Republic to be presented by the Brazil Federation of Hope, as well as the definition of party coalitions and other deliberations related to the 2026 electoral process. 

The notice also includes the possibility of delegating powers to the National Political Commission to address any adjustments arising from electoral negotiations.
