Communist Parties of India join rallies against reactionary attacks
Mass rallies were held in Kolkata by Left parties and Left student organisations against ABVP-BJP-RSS attacks on educational institutions and intellectuals, and the desecration of statues of scholars, and to demand justice for Sheikh Muhammad Mafik, who was attacked and killed by BJP goons in Bankura district because his son Abdul Hafiz had participated in the student-youth movement against NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar and had raised the demand for better facilities in his village school.
