The 24th IMCWP was held in Havana, Cuba on 7-8 August. The Final Declaration and the Action plan adopted at the meeting are as follows.

The demonstration in Ankara was brutally attacked by the security forces and over 130 communists were detained. Communist and workers parties from all around the world issued solidarity statements with TKP and a common statement has been issued to express solidarity.

The US Department of Justice issued an arrest warrant for the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro on unlawful charges. Communist workers’ parties all around the world condemned this move as a further step in the imperialist aggression against Cuba.
