While a de facto state of emergency continues in the capital city of Turkey due to the upcoming NATO summit, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) marched to Kızılay Square, centre of Ankara, with the slogan “Down with imperialism, down with NATO!”
The José Martà Cuba Friendship Association (JMKDD) of Turkey has launched a solidarity campaign for Cuba, which is under a US blockade. In a statement, the association announced that the campaign, titled "Gathering Solar Energy for Cuba," aims to support Cuba's ongoing efforts to increase its solar energy production.
A large-scale solidarity event titled “Cuba Will Win!” was held at the Nâzım Hikmet Cultural Center. Organized by the Communist Party of Turkey, the gathering brought together a broad audience from İstanbul.

The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) announced the sudden and unexpected passing of its Chairman, Tibor Zenker, who died at his home in Wolkersdorf on 16 April 2026 at the age of 50.
In a new statement, the PdA and Jugendfront rejected the reform as a “curriculum reform in the service of capital,” arguing that it served the ideological and economic demands of capitalism rather than the educational advancement of students.
