Cuba strengthens organisation and preparedness for enemy threat
During the 24th IMCWP Working Group meeting held in İstanbul, soL TV -the Youtube channel of the soL News Portal- spoke with Navid Shomali, International Secretary of the TUDEH Party of Iran. We are sharing with ICP readers his responses, in which he assesses the latest developments concerning the recent imperialist aggression against Iran.
The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) announced the sudden and unexpected passing of its Chairman, Tibor Zenker, who died at his home in Wolkersdorf on 16 April 2026 at the age of 50.
Workers Party Youth criticised recent initiatives such as the EU Asylum and Migration Pact, arguing that further restrictions will deepen reliance on smuggling networks while failing to address underlying causes. It rejected narratives that treat migrants as either a burden or a tool of labour markets, instead emphasising that migrants are part of the international working class.
The Party issued a statement on the anniversary of the defence of socialism at Playa Girón. The statement said, “Heir to the revolutionary traditions of our people, the Communist Party of Cuba arrives at this April 16th with new motivations in defence of unity, the beautiful work of the Revolution and a historical legacy that already adds up to more than one hundred years of struggle.
That day – when the entire population came out to defend socialism on the sands of Playa Girón – is considered the founding date of our Party.”
Sudanese Communist Party issued a statement entitled “Hate Speech… Dalgo and the Shared National Destiny”. The Party said, “In the midst of the raging war in Sudan, the danger is no longer confined to the battlefronts; it has extended deep into the social fabric, where hate speech and racism are escalating in a way that threatens to tear apart what remains of the bonds of shared living. What occurred in Dalgo should not be read as an isolated incident.”
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemned the repression of factory workers in the industrial belt of Delhi NCR, accusing authorities in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh of deploying police force instead of addressing workers’ demands.

TUDEH Party of Iran condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, saying that the attacks aim to undermine the temporary ceasefire and to continue the war to destroy Iran.
