In Western Cape, Provincial Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Benson Ngqentsu, was removed as a Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL), as well as members serving as councillors in several municipalities across the province with the pretext that they are no longer members of the African National Congress (ANC).The Party released the following statement.

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) issued a statement for World Peace Day, assessing the global situation and the threats that Turkey is facing. 

The Communist Party of India is organising a big rally in Delhi on 1 September. Some local leaders and workers of the Party were harrased and put under house arrest in Uttar Pradesh. The Party released the text of the letter written by Communist Party of India General Secretary D. Raja to Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, regarding the matter.

The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) released a press statement concerning the work that the Party is doing in the aftermath of the devastating flood and landslide. 

The Greek government signed an agreement with Israel on the "Achilles Shield" for the supply of air defense systems. The deal includes the "David's Sling" and "Spyder" systems, which are manufactured by "Rafael" and the "Barak MX" system, which is manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). In addition, the Israeli Defense Ministry claims that it will also supply Greece with "Drone Dome" systems, in a separate deal worth 26 million euros. The Communist Party of Greece issued a press statement on the agreement. 

After the extended session of the CPI(M) State Committee, the party held a rally in Kalyani. 

Graham Holton, a long-term Communist Party of Australia member, put in a submission to the AUKUS Public Inquiry taking place around Australia now. As a result, he was asked to appear at the inquiry and face questions from lead commissioner Peter Garrett and commissioners Leanne Minshull and Carmen Lawrence. The South African Communist Party (SACP) held the 13th Plenary of its 15th Congress from 28–30 August 2026 in Johannesburg, at what it described as a decisive stage in the National Democratic Revolution (NDR) and the struggle for socialism.

Paulo Raimundo, Secretary-General of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), used the presentation of the book Disaster on the Railway: 35 Years of Liberalization to launch a broader political criticism of railway liberalization and privatization in Portugal. At the event organised for the launch, he stated that the railway is a strategic public sector, essential not only for passenger and freight transport but also for national production, territorial cohesion, environmental protection, sovereignty and national development.

The 52nd KNE–“Odigiti” Festival, organised by KNE (Communist Youth of Greece), is entering its final phase as September approaches, with events being held across Greece ahead of the main four-day festival in Athens. The festival is organized under the slogan “General, man has a flaw… He knows how to think!” (Bertolt Brecht) – “With KKE ahead for Socialism!”
